Never,  They Make their own luck.  You will find it out as you continue in your careers. 
World Class Entrepreneurs are different.

They Show up more than other people, they ask more questions than other people, they take advantage of tools more often, they don't slack off in order to hang out and mess around with their friends, and they don't make excuses .
 Don't ever think that Luck happens to other people.  I want you to understand that there is a big difference from standing around waiting on things to happen rather than going out and making it happen.  

You can tell when somebody is going to make it or not in life because you won't be the one who is making excuses like everybody else is. Those excuses add up in a career and you will find that those who are growing in their profession are the the ones who are constantly learning and making their own direction instead of sitting around waiting for it to be handed to you.
 
You will start making your own luck and it will be something tat you will be proud of.  I don't simply want our courses to be taught, I want them to be experienced. 
Start Ups are Such a Unique Part of the American Economy.  We have Colleges All over the U.S. that for over 100 years have the taught us about the business plans and financial forecasts which are designed for large corporations.  However, for Start Ups, most of that stuff just get's in the way in the first few years at least.

 I can tell you that from personal experience. If you are a Start up Company, Instead of writing your business model first, spend a lot of time about your hypothesis first, just like when doing online niche marketing, the idea and target market is the most important part before you even need to start developing a product.

Make sure 100% it solves a need that people are having.  If it doesn't solve a problem people are having, then you need to go back to the drawing board with your hypothesis. 
If you are a business owner for  startup, you will quickly realize that a company doesn't grow off of your crazy idea or your passion and drive, and it surely doesn't grow because of all the numbers on the spreadsheet you see on forecasts of your business plan.  And it won't even grow just because you have passion for what you are selling or providing.  You Have to solve a need for your customers bottom line. 

One of the Courses that we offer here at YPN is called the Budding Entrepreneur.  lol Hey we are still working on the naming conventions ok.....leave me alone :p   This course provides insight into the key steps needed to build a successful startup.  The main idea is learning how to rapidly develop and test ideas by gathering massive amounts of consumer data and marketplace feedback.

Often times Small businesses fail because they don't have these things hashed out before starting off. 
The only problem is that It's been a bit since I've been back at these colleges sitting in classrooms with these students at night, so I'm starting to feel like an old man when I'm totally NOT!  lol Well I told my members I was going to be there with them step-by-step so that's what I'm doing.  :)

-If you love both tech and marketing, check out Product Marketing Manager roles—where you’ll manage new product releases and the internal communications, messaging, and positioning that surround them. 


While many companies want their Product Marketing Managers based on-site to interact with other team members, you can have success working for startups that are tight on space or companies that value virtual work. For example, Santa Barbara-based cloud computing startup RightScale offers many work-from-home positions—and is currently hiring a remote Product Marketing Manager who can be based in California, Seattle, or Denver.

Product Marketing Managers typically work with software and web-based products, so a passion for and experience in this world is ideal.

These types of roles vary in both scope and experience—for example, United Health Group is hiring a Senior Marketing Research Analyst to perform high-level research and make recommendations on that data, and an e-commerce company is seeking a telecommuting SEO Analyst Assistant to perform SEO research and data entry.



Depends on the role, but most likely a combination of analytical skills and strategic thinking. And knowledge of SEO is a big bonus!



4. Content Strategist

-If you’re currently blogging, chances are you already understand how content marketing works. So, why not use your expertise to show companies how to be successful with the same methods? As a Content Strategist, you’ll work with brands to determine what type of content they need based on their goals—then, you’ll work to develop that strategy through campaigns, projects and editorial calendars.



There are plenty of opportunities available for full-time and contract roles, but I’ve also seen people have success pitching their skills to businesses they want to work with. If you’re hired on a project basis and deliver great results—that’s a great case for hiring you full-time. Make a list of places you want to work, pitch them the idea, and learn from the process!



You Should Have: Proven success with blogging or content strategy.



5. Digital Marketing Consultant



-This is probably the most flexible role of all, and if you have several years of experience and proven success in digital marketing, it could be the ideal gig for you. As a bonus, consultants are generally paid well, as companies rely on their expertise to take their company to the next level.



One option is working for a digital marketing firm, which are often hired to analyze current digital marketing processes and policies, provide thought leadership, and strategize with teams on improved performance.



Or, you can strike out on your own as a freelance consultant, where you can choose exactly what types of work and clients you take on. This can be a great fit if you’re looking to carve out an industry niche for yourself—think social media for fashion and beauty clients or brand strategy work for healthcare organizations.



You Should Have: Several years of experience, ideally deep expertise in one or two specific set of skills.



Whatever you do, whether it is working from home or physically give in an office, make sure you give it 110%.  This country was not founded on the backs of people who are lazy….even though sometimes in todays time it's sometimes hard to tell.  :)

3rd party Business evaluation assessment in the ability for executive level business management and marketing mastery knowledge.  Given 30 minutes to complete and evaluate 200 high level complex questions regarding the financial services industry as well as real estate.  The test is designed to be complex enough that you can't possibly finish in time.  It included a large section on business and marketing which the same scores were calculated from.  They gave bonus questions to answer in case you couldn't finish in time.  Scored 130 out of 125.  This is due to fact that all questions were answered correctly in the time allotted as well as the bonus questions were also completed.  This is the first this particular high level university study was conducted with such results

I love hearing stories of perseverance and determination such as these above. Now I’m not going to pretend to be a sports writer and give you all the stats because that would be out of my niche of explaining mortgage financing to people, but all I can say is WOW!
31 points in a bowl game, and not just any bowl game, but the very last bowl game of the year is insane! For those of you who don’t watch college football (and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong) but that was like the Super Bowl for those 2 teams because it’s the last game of the year.

That is what life is like for a lot of people in this world. That is why I’m always encouraging you to move forward and to always try your best! Life is almost always 95% mental and 5% how you react to it, so take stories like the above football players and continue to move forward in life even when you feel it’s too hard or the challenge is too strong. Take it from me, sometimes all you have in life is your will and determination.

Growing up as a kid we we’re just about as poor as we could be. I remember being made fun of over and over because the truck that my dad came to pick me up in would not run and we ended up having to push it after school all the way home too many times that finally me and my sister decided it better to just walk home than to try and ride a vehicle that wouldn’t make it. Little did I know that became the start of my own love for football and the passion it can bring out in people.

This is actually what our movie coming up next year in November is all about,  actually. I won’t ruin the plot of it because you can see it on kickstarter.com for our seed funding, but I’ll just give you a little hint until we actually have the funding for the film.
The film portrays a little boy who learned how to become fast and carry the ball like his life depended on it because once there were no more rides home from school due to his dads truck constantly breaking down, he had to make it home every single day in order to avoid the constant beatings or harassing from other kids who would have enjoyed seeing that little kid to just believe everything that they had called him his whole life.
I guess just like Forrest Gump, football came natural to me even though I had never played before. I simply saw the field like I did as my path to get home. I had to hit all the right angles and avoid guys trying to tackle me during my short football career, just like I would have to avoid the bullies every day walking home from school since being a minority growing up in the central valley of California, I was outnumbered about 20-1.

It just so happens that when I touched the ball for the 1st time ever in a game in my entire life, I happened to take it back over 83 yards for a touchdown. I can still hear the crowds cheering for me which is the first time I was ever told that I was doing something right…..it was such a different feeling. For once, I was making all those people happy and gave them something to cheer for…….I’ll never forget that feeling as long as I’m alive.

You see I was too small to play football and I had severe asthma growing up which would prevent me from doing a lot of extra curricular activities, however, my determination to show people that they were wrong about me for what I had been called and for simply being the wrong nationality is absolutely wrong!
So do NOT EVER believe when somebody tells you that you can’t do something…..do NOT EVER believe that for one bit.
Instead use that anger and pain and sadness and channel it into something positive. I had absolutely no clue that playing football from 1995-1997 would have been such a life changing experience for not just myself, but for a community as well during those years.

You never know who you will impact by continuing to try and improve yourself in whatever way you can. A lot of times it is just plain and simple that you have yourself if you grow up in a poverty stricken environment, because NOBODY around you will want you to ever go anywhere or do anything other than what they are probably doing, which is more than likely going nowhere in life.

Do whatever it takes to get educated and constantly learn as much as you can. That’s why I am going to be working with the United States Department of Interior department of Indian Affairs in a few weeks, to have Young Professionals Network get officially certified as a Choctaw Owned Company. I am the last blood member of my family’s line to be a native American and therefore I have a job to do. Not just for the Native Americans that I came from, but for everybody else that doesn’t have an opportunity to get educated and doesn’t have that kind of opportunity a lot of others people do have.

The only problem we are having right now is that there is too much demand and not enough hands because we are bootstrapping everything like a normal start-up does that comes from nothing. I don’t care if you are a beginner at real estate or you’ve been at your job for 30 years and just want a change, we are going to help give people the professional skills they need to be successful in business.  Our 4 month mentor ship program are very close to being put together.

I honestly don’t even think of it like my company because young professionals network is not just a corporation, but instead “We are a generation of millennial helping each other out to learn as much as we can, and in turn do the same for somebody else who needs a little help in life.
